Last Scene In Reno Review

This Fridays '4G Band Review' is about four musicians who are no strangers to the music scene and stage life.  Lancaster's own Last Scene in Reno is a band that has been on an upward journey since debuting this past summer at the Stahr Center along with friends and future tour mates, The RIOT.  Consisting of Curt Tran (bass), Matt Murr(guitar and vocals), Dave T.(guitar and vocals) and Ryan Masters(drums), LSIR backs their catchy harmonies and intricate guitar riffs with plenty of energy as well as a bit of on stage humor.  LSIR is currently in the studio writing and tracking songs for the release of their first album set to release mid-February.  They have already released two songs that are now available for download.

With views of a national tour in sight and plenty of shows until then, LSIR doesn't have any plan to stop spreading their music anytime soon.  With influences like Blink-182, New Found Glory, and Taking Back Sunday, LSIR brings a much needed change in flavor to the music scene in our area and more cities to come.

Rufus J Fisk Review

Some people have compared the next band on our list to Rage Against the Machine and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, but Rufus J. Fisk has undoubtedly kept their own fresh sound that everyone needs to experience.  With a smooth mixed style of Hard Rock, Blues, and Hip Hop, RJF has moved people all over the country with their unique sound.  Matt’s amazing rhymes, Scott’s crazy guitar riffs, Dayne’s intense drums, and Omar’s incredible bass lines combine to make the perfect musical experience. This band brings so much energy to the stage you will be wondering how you survived the show without permanent injury.

Rufus J. Fisk has opened for a number of acts over the years including; Wu Tang, Jimmies Chicken Shack, Saliva, and others and touring in a number of cities as far west as Denver, Colorado and as far south as Naples Florida and plenty of others in between.

After coming off of a month long tour for promotion their new full length album "The Man Without A Face" RJF is done with the holidays and back In the studio writing and practicing new material. Rufus J. Fisk is excited to get back to work in front of their hometown crowd that has kept the bands head above water over the years.  RJF is also working on their new album and will be playing a few new songs for your listening pleasure.

Make sure you don’t miss the boys of Rufus J. Fisk as well as all the other kick ass bands performing at the 4G.  And don't forget to check back at http://snowman4g.blogspot.com every Monday and Friday for another installment of "4G Band Review".

Testosteroso at the Snowman 4G

Since the early days of the Great big snowman orgy, there have been bands that have come and gone did their thing, and faded away.  But one band seems to have been reigning terror throughout the years.  That band is Testosteroso.

With their first full length album "Four- Fathers" set to be released winter of 2012, Testosteroso is,and has always been taking steps forward in their ever expanding music careers.  Although they haven't taken too much to road life, their well-directed and well produced videos like "Mail Order Bride" have stirred up quite a bit of commotion and even a bit of controversy on You Tube.

The band consists of Skot Shaub on lead vocals and guitar, Cody on rhythm guitar and vocals, Elias on drums and newly founded member Tom.  Tom, formerly the guitarist for Anastasia electrik, is now ripping bass lines right alongside the punk, folk, rock band.  With their always entertaining stage shows, hilarious but well written lyrics and their never ending pit of guitar riffs, Testosteroso is a band that has been around and will stick around for long time to come.
